Who are STES?

STES Industrial Limited was established in 2026 by Steve Tranter to provide independent engineering support, supply and consultancy across plastics manufacturing, fluid power and process cooling applications.

The business was founded to bring together practical experience gained across both plastics processing environments and industrial fluid power systems, with a focus on providing technically sound, application-led support to manufacturers and equipment suppliers.

Industry Experience

Before establishing STES, Steve spent several years working for an industry-leading supplier of plastics ancillary equipment and process cooling systems, supporting customers across the plastics manufacturing sector.

During this time he worked closely with manufacturers across a wide range of processing technologies, including:

  • Injection moulding

  • Blow moulding

  • Film extrusion

  • Profile extrusion

  • Other plastics processing applications

The role involved supporting equipment specification, system integration and technical consultation across a vast majority of the UK and Ireland, developing a strong understanding of how plastics processing equipment and supporting systems operate within real production environments.

Fluid Power Background

Prior to working within the plastics sector, Steve spent five years specialising in pneumatic and fluid power products, focusing on component specification and supply.

This experience included working with a wide range of major manufacturers and suppliers, supporting customers with the selection and integration of pneumatic tubing, hose systems, valves, fittings and associated fluid power components used across many industrial applications.

This background provided a strong technical foundation in component selection, system reliability and industrial supply chains.

Bringing Both Disciplines Together

The combination of experience in plastics processing equipment, process cooling systems and fluid power components allows STES to provide a practical and well-rounded engineering perspective.

Many plastics manufacturing environments rely heavily on integrated systems involving ancillary equipment, cooling circuits, pneumatic components and industrial hose assemblies. Understanding how these systems interact is critical to ensuring reliable operation, efficient production and long-term maintainability.

By bringing together knowledge from both sectors, STES is able to support customers with solutions that consider the entire process environment, rather than focusing on individual components or equipment in isolation.

An Independent Engineering Approach

STES operates independently, allowing advice and support to be based on application requirements and practical engineering considerations, rather than alignment with any single equipment manufacturer.

The aim is simple: to support plastics manufacturers, equipment suppliers and industrial customers with reliable engineering input, appropriate equipment specification and dependable supply.
